SALT LAKE CITY, Utah is the capital of the state and the center of the Mormon religion. Built at the edge of the Great Salt Lake by Brigham Young and his followers, it is home to 887,650 people. The climate is cold and dry in winter and very hot in summer.

The other neighborhoods of the city are similar in nature, with Downtown being the hub of business.
The city holds many entertainment venues (including the Utah Symphony Orchestra, Repertory Dance Company), sights of interest (including the Tabernacle), museums, sports and events.
