Cooper is a really great rental agency for OSU students. If you rent from somewhere else around here (like Buckeye or Northsteppe) and then move to a Cooper property, you will notice a difference. I wouldn't say it is resort-style living at all, but the apartments are well-kept, everything works, if something doesn't work, they send maintenance right away (and maintenace was never creepy, always nice and respectful). I would just highly recommend cooper, they don't hate college students! They treat you like a person, not someone to take advantage of. I also heard that you get most of your deposit back (which is something that usually doesn't happen around here!).

Cooper properties has treated my roommates and myself very poorly. Our house was not cleaned properly when we moved in (some areas of our house were CAKED in dust). They claimed that there was a free washer and dryer in the basement. Yet when we moved in, there was neither! We have been trying to get them for weeks still, and to no avail. They also promised us a couple of free off street parking spots on our property, but neglected to inform us that we would be towed for parking in our own driveway. The only positive thing I can say is that maintenance is prompt and the guy who works for them is very nice and polite. Other than that, we have been treated like dirt...my only guess as to why that is, is because we are students. They are inconsiderate and I will never rent from them again.

I have rented from these guys for two years and it's been a good experience. Garth is very easy to deal with. When we've had maintenance requests he's responded quickly he always gives us notice when he shows our house etc. Based on some of the stories I hear from my friends about their landlords I have no complaints at all. - Aaron Nelson - Feb-17-2009
